ABOUT Jonathan Biddlecombe

Born in 1963, Jonathan Biddlecombe is an artist whose paintings are admired worldwide. Originally from Cape Town, South Africa, Jonathan's works have been exhibited in numerous private and corporate galleries, and his paintings find themselves in collections in South Africa, Israel, Canada, Belgium, United Kingdom, and the USA. His work focuses in on the Naive art in mosaic style and features watercolor, and charcoal.

Jonathan attended the Cape Peninsula University for seven years studying graphic design and fine art, majoring in figure drawing and illustration. He achieved a Cum Laude in book publication and illustration. Jonathan has painted enormous theater backdrops for productions in Cape Town and Dallas, and his illustrations and paintings appear in magazines and books.

In 1996 Jonathan and his family immigrated to the United States and he has worked in and directed a number of design and book publication studios. His love of watercolor has become his passion and he is studying new art styles and techniques. Currently, Jonathan is working on the following themes: 'Biblical Festivals & Holidays', 'Jerusalem', 'Insects', 'Birds', 'Judaica', and 'The Creation Series.'
